Welcome to the villages of Elora and Fergus! Bordering the Grand River, visitors will discover charming downtown areas offering one-of-a-kind shopping experiences, a wide range of restaurants, art exhibits and farmers’ markets.

Learn more about what each town has to offer by taking a walking tour. Choose from the Elora Culinary Tour, where participants can sample specially created dishes at various locally owned and operated restaurants and shops while learning about the history and architecture of the area. Boat Tours allow you to explore Elora, the Elora Gorge and the waters beyond. Guided Historical Walking Tours allow visitors to take in the heritage and historical stories of Elora and Fergus.

Home to a vibrant arts scene, culture matters in Elora and Fergus. The Elora Centre for the Arts showcases the best in local, provincial and national talent in every discipline. The Wellington Artists’ Gallery and Art Centre offers a varied selection of high quality original new works. For two weekends each fall, artisans open their studios for the Elora Fergus Studio Tour. There are also a number of privately owned galleries and studios showcasing emerging and established local artistic talent.

Surrounded by rich agricultural land, the farms of Elora and Fergus produce a wide variety of foods ranging from beef, elk and ostrich meat to maple products. Visitors can shop for local produce at the Elora Farmer’s Market. Many local restaurants also feature dishes prepared using locally-sourced products.

There is fun to be had all year round in Elora and Fergus. Whether it’s the Elora Writer’s Festival in the spring, the Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games each summer, the Elora Horse and Hound Parade in the fall, or a Night with Robbie Burns in Fergus each winter, visitors will find lots to take in, and many reasons to come back again.

With the Grand River running through the area, Elora and Fergus are popular destinations for fly fishing, swimming, tubing, cycling and zip lining.
