Must Taste Item: Woodfired Pizza

Take-out available for an express, quick or corporate lunch!

Denis Fontana is well known in the food circles of Fergus-Elora. He used to sell fresh pasta made on site at the Elora Farmers Market and when a beautiful old stone building came up for lease, he decided it was time to make the leap into the restaurant business. Located on a quieter part of Mill Street in this active artistic village, the restaurant is shaded by ancient walnut trees and overlooks the Grand River. The patio is tremendous! His Executive Chef Jer Robbins has won several Food Day Canada Innovation Awards already in a former restaurant. He’s talented and his 50+ hour braised beef short ribs are unbelievably tender. The wood oven-baked pizzas are Neapolitan style with the thin centre and high edges reminiscent of the Italian countryside. Only thing…they’re using Canadian ingredients. Denis loves fine wines and his list is one of the most reasonably priced anywhere in the area!
