Welcome to Homegrown Roots! We are Mark and Cassidy Scharringa, and we started selling grass fed beef under the name MC Cattle Co in 2022. After doing this for a year, we realized that lots of people are travelling to various different farms to find local, healthy food. We decided to put together an online market where people can order multiple local products and collect them from one place.
We continue to specialize in raising and processing our grass fed beef, but we want to offer more value to our customers. All the Homegrown Roots products we are bringing to you have local roots. They’ve been grown, made or processed by farms and families in Ariss and surrounding areas, just like our grass fed beef.
At Homegrown Roots, it's our goal to connect you with the quality food products you and your family deserve, while supporting our local farmers.
Products include grass fed and finished beef sides, soup and marrow bones, lean ground beef, pot roast, steaks, braising ribs andbrisket. *All our beef products are grass fed and finished.
Themed and customized gift baskets created with local products, as well as printed canvases including cows, Scottish Highland cattle, and farm life.
